The Hebrew layout throughout this site is generally according to the Masoretic indexing system, which uses a letter of the Hebrew alphabet (פ) or (ס) to signify the end of a set of inter-connected verses forming an internally related section.
However, there are also additional spaces in the Tiberian Masoretic manuscripts that can be seen in the Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia, where there are no cues as above.
Some of these spaces in the Tiberian Masoretic manuscripts were taken into consideration when the current worldwide verse numbering and chapter divisions were formulated over 400 years ago, and almost universally adopted, as in the Geneva Bible of 1560.
Additional spacing between the Hebrew clauses on this website also reflects the Masoretic cantillation/punctuation markers commonly referred to as conjunctive and disjunctive accents.
In addition to using the Masoretic Cues as indicated below, as in (פ) or (ס), there may also be some additional cues in purple (ס), based on the additional spacing present in the Masoretic text as seen in the Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia.
The history of Bible translation, indexing, and layout clearly shows that things have been progressive throughout the centuries.
When could one ever say that the zenith of Bible translation has been reached, and nothing more needs to be studied?
If we believe the Bible to be the Word of the Infinite God, how could we ever reach a finite endpoint?
